Confidence is silent, insecurities are loud

Everyone is always saying BE MORE CONFIDENT and that DOUBT KILLS more dreams than failure ever will. I know that having confidence is important but I am also guilty of being filled with too much self-doubt.

So how do you gain self-confidence?

How do you tell yourself that YOU CAN and how do you make yourself appear confident on the outside when deep inside you don't feel it?

I have done some research and have come up with the following list of ten ways to start building self-confidence. If you are full of self doubt, perhaps you could give these tips a try as well.

Keep your circle tight

I've known a lot of people in my life and many I have called my good FRIENDS,  however life has also taught me some very valuable lessons.

Hard times will always reveal true friends.

Being honest may not earn you many friends but it will always earn you the right ones.

A true friend accepts who you are and also helps you become who you can be.

A true friend won't ditch you when something or someone better comes along.

A true friend never gets in your way, unless you are going down.

Fake friends believe in rumours, real friends believe in you.

Side by side or miles apart, true friends are always close at heart.

A true friend doesn't just contact you when they want something.

Analyse who is worth being in your circle and forget the rest.

TRUE FRIENDS ARE RARE!

Oft expectation fails and most oft there, where most it promises

Or in plain English, expectation is the root of all suffering. This is certainly one of the biggest lessons I have learned from the University of Life.
"Oft expectation fails, and most oft there
Where most it promises; and oft it hits
Where hope is coldest, and despair most fits"

La Soriee putting sensual into consensual

So last night I went along with my good friends to see the risque, highly entertaining and hilarious show called La Soiree. It happens to be the third time I've seen this brilliant show and it never fails to satisfy me. Every time I go along I end up learning something new about myself and life in a depraved, sexy and humorous kind of way. Here are the ten lessons I learned at the show in Darwin, Northern Territory on 13 June 2015:

Opinion is the medium between knowledge and ignorance

“The life of which meaning one never ponders is not worth living.” ~ Socrates
Athenian philosopher Plato conveyed and expanded on the ideas of Socrates
In a modern world where we are flat out, running our busy lives, always "switched on" and overloaded with information, it is not uncommon for us to stop questioning what is going on around us, we can unintentionally forget to pay attention to the detail.
When was the last time you stopped for a moment and took a deep breathe and reflected on what it is you do and why you do it?

Unbalanced but organized

I have a passion for all things organised and I have been accused of being pedantic (obsessive even) and one of the most organised people to know. However despite the faith (or not) that others have in me, there are times in my life when I feel completely out of control . So needless to say, I consider myself well-presented with the intention to stay organised but probably not 100% productive (or balanced).

There I said it, I’m UNBALANCED … Argh!

This now leads me to the reason for this post. LIFE BALANCE! I'm sure you've all thought about it. If you are like me you've probably skimmed and scanned (sometimes read); a lot of articles, musings and rants, ideas, viewed lists and found practical solutions on websites and blogs. I have and so I know I'm not the only person who often feels their life can be cluttered and chaotic at times or just simply UNBALANCED!
